What is ROPP cap scrap?
ROPP stands for Roll-On Pilfer-Proof — the aluminium closures used on wine, spirits and other bottles. The scrap comes from cap manufacturers as punching offcuts (the aluminium sheet waste from stamping out caps) and as finished caps that are off-spec or surplus.
Do you accept caps with paper labels?
Yes. Paper labels are accepted up to approximately 3% contamination. If the caps have heavy paper or cardboard attached, contact us to discuss.
What about plastic content inside the caps?
The plastic liner inside ROPP caps must be kept under 1% of total weight. This is a hard limit. If plastic content is higher, we may not be able to accept the material or will need to adjust the rate.
I generate punching offcuts at my factory daily. Can we set up a regular arrangement?
Absolutely. We prefer ongoing arrangements with manufacturers. We can provide a collection bin, set a pickup schedule and pay weekly or fortnightly against certified weight.
